What makes Vegas so dope? Everything.
We're not quite sure when it happened but long ago somebody decided that if a state was all about winning money it better provide various ways to spend that cash frivolously. Thus, today Vegas has the best gaming, the coolest hotels, the craziest clubs, the most delectable restaurants and the most famous shows in the world.
Oddly enough it seems like the city that was built on roulette wheels and jackpots is more recognized today for its stage entertainment. But who can blame people for loving the shows so much? Where else in the world can you see Cirque Du Soleil, Elton John and Carrot Top all in the same night?
That's why, if you haven't had a chance in your Vegas adventures to see one, we've given you the best shows and events available. And don't worry, this will be 100 percent Criss Angel free.
The Beatles "Love" at the Mirage
That new Rock Band Beatles video game got you craving more Fab Four? Then we suggest getting your fix with "The Beatles 'Love'" show. Of course you won't get Paul McCartney and the ghost of John Lennon playing the old-school tunes but you will get all their greatest track performed by great artists.
If you don't end up singing along to at least one of these songs we presume you got too drunk to talk.
The Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian Hotel
We wouldn't call ourselves anything close to being fans of musical theatre, but we still recommend checking out the "Phantom of the Opera" at the Venetian Hotel at least once.
"Cats" this is not. Expect to see pyrotechnics that may rival some Michael Bay productions.
"O" Cirque Du Soleil at the Bellagio Hotel
The Bellagio is like that rich friend who always has to one-up you. There are other Cirque Du Soleil shows in Vegas but Bellagio put the money and time to ensure "O" is hands down the best. It's pricier than other Soleil shows, but expect to see an acrobatic acid trip like no other.
The Lion King at Mandalay Bay
Tell us you didn't freak the heck out when Mufasa died in "The Lion King?" Well, you get to relive the day your friends saw you cry during an animated film with the live version of Disney's masterpiece. Expect Tony Award winning production with even more Vegas flare. Unfortunately, don't expect the voice of Darth Vader to make an appearance.
Barry Manilow at *Las Vegas Hilton Theater
Don't you dare deny the power of Manilow. These tickets will sell out fast so don't even think about just showing up at the Hilton Theater doors. You may not be a "Fanilow" today, but once "Mandy" hits and granny panties start flying on stage you'll be in love just like every other man, woman, child and animal who have heard his silky sounds.
* So the Las Vegas Hilton is technically off-strip. Whatev.
